Clover Xuesong Zhou is a Chinese writer, artist, and theologian currently living and working in Virginia, USA.

She holds an M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and an M.A. in Fine Art from Dalian Polytechnic University. Zhou worked in the contemporary art field as a journalist, editor, and art critic from 2010 to 2017 in China, and from 2017 to the present in the United States. Her writing has appeared in numerous publications, including Artforum China, The Art Newspaper China, The Art World, RanDian, Vision, Oriental Art—Master, Artron Art, and The Oxford Handbook of the Bible in China.

In 2020, Zhou co-curated A Composite Leviathan with James Elaine and Cara Lewis at Bridge Projects in Los Angeles. She also curated a series of educational programs accompanying the exhibition, building bridges between China and the United States, and between the contemporary art world and faith traditions.

As a visual artist, Zhou works primarily in painting, installation, and video. Christian faith is the foundation and inspiration of her practice—through her work, she seeks to pursue, reveal, and share the truth and love of God using the language of art. Her current work focuses on using found materials to create transformative installations that speak to the human condition and God’s redemptive grace.
